Family FAQs
Direct answers to the questions Arizona families ask us most — about cost, timing, guilt, licensing, and how independent care navigation actually works.
Professional Introduction
Understanding Family FAQs
Families begin this journey with the same questions, usually asked quietly and often with apology. There are no naive questions here. There is only a system that is genuinely difficult to navigate from the outside.
This page collects the questions we answer most often, with direct answers rather than marketing language. Where a topic deserves more depth, it links to the full educational guide.
If your question is not here, ask us. A consultation costs nothing and carries no obligation.

Family Questions
Family FAQs: common questions
How is AdvaCare free to families?
Like a real estate agent or an insurance broker, we are compensated by the community a family ultimately selects, only after a successful move-in. Families never pay us, and we remain independent — we present options that fit your loved one, not options that pay more.
How quickly can you help in a crisis?
Same day in most cases. Hospital discharges and safety emergencies are prioritized, and there is never a cost to your family.
What if my parent refuses to move?
This is the norm, not the exception. Progress usually comes from smaller steps — a safety assessment, a single tour, a respite stay — rather than a single decisive conversation.
Do you serve all of Arizona?
Yes. AdvaCare serves families across the entire state, including the Phoenix metro, Tucson, and rural communities.
